Peggy Eggleston

Vice Mayor

Elected: 11/07/23
Term: 01/01/24- 12/31/27
Term Length: 4 Years

I was born and raised in New Carlisle. I spent over 30 years in the Banking industry, leaving my position of Branch Manager at USBank in 2007 for a “career change”. I am currently working from home as an Independent Contractor for Gear Designs in Grove City, PA. I have 2 sons, both are married and live in Bethel Township, Miami County. I have 6 grandchildren, 3 grand-puppies & 2 grand-kitties!

My family has a long history of community involvement going back to the mid 1950’s. My Father was a member of the Jaycees, a member of the New Carlisle City Council and was very active in many community events.  My mother was instrumental in the formation of The Citizens Scholarship Fund at Tecumseh. This community involvement had a huge impact on me!

I have always been an animal lover, for the past 14 years I have been very active with supporting both active duty and retired Military Working Dogs, Police K9s, Search and Rescue and Support K9s as well as our Military. I have served on the Board of Directors for several national non-profits pertaining to these causes. I also serve on the Board of Directors of CFCI, an International, tax-exempt advocacy organization focusing on improving safety awareness, education and open communication about cannabis related treatments.

While my life took has taken me away from New Carlisle at times, I always came back to my roots. My desire to see the community involvement of the past and the citizens of New Carlisle, once again, working together as a community led me to regularly attending New Carlisle City Council meetings. My goal is to make New Carlisle a city where all families can feel safe and are proud to call New Carlisle home! This will take, not only, communication between Council members but also communication between Council and the citizens of New Carlisle. I would like to see citizens knowing that they can come to the City Council or any Council member with any issue and feel confident that they will be addressed.

In 2017 I purchased the house that my Grandparents lived in, where I currently reside with my German Shepherd, Cheyenne.
