The Director of Law serves as the legal advisor to City Council, the Mayor, Department Heads, and all City boards and commissions. Duties include representing the city as its attorney in civil matters, issuing legal opinions, and preparing or approving all contracts, bonds, ordinances, resolutions or other written instruments concerning the city.
